These colourful soap dishes are made in earthenware clay by Maria Connolly and individually hand-painted using layers of coloured slips.
Each one is truly unique, cut to shape with a curved form and two holes for drainage.
Maria Connolly is a Ceramic Artist based in Donegal, she creates individual ceramic vessels that explore form and function as well as bespoke functional pieces that are playful and inviting.
“Working with flat sheets of earthenware clay I build forms that explore form. My vessels gives me a canvas to build texture and pattern that invites the handler to investigate the pot and its suggested reference to function.”
