This unique jug has many uses as a pitcher for drinks, or as a little vase for a colourful bouquet. This piece features a small indentation for your thumb and gives you a more positive grip on the body of the cylinder. The fine white lines are created by using traditional Venetian glassblowing techniques, where each line starts off as a separate piece of glass.

Benefield Spencer was founded by Scott Benefield and Andrea Spencer in 2010, their studio operates from an old farm property on the rugged north Antrim coast. All of their work is designed, produced and finished in their studio entirely by hand, variations occur as a result.

Filigrana is the generic name for blown glass made with colorless, white, and sometimes colored canes. It is a highly skilled process that gives a 'swirly' pattern to handblown glass. The filigrana style originated on the island of Murano in the 16th century and spread rapidly to other parts of Europe where façon de Venise glass was produced.
