This pair of porcelain mini vases are a great colourful addition to a workspace or table, and are made by Waterford based artist Adele Stanley. The two shades of coral sit together well and show off Adele's playful approach to colour. The outside is hand painted with layers of coloured slip, it is sanded and left unglazed, exposing the quality of the porcelain clay and giving it a lovely, tactile quality. In contrast the inside of the vase is glazed with a clear shiny glaze.
Adele Stanley is a ceramic artist based in Mahon Bridge, County Waterford. She is inspired by simplicity of form, clean lines and bright colour. She studied ceramics at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and the Cardiff School of Art and Design in Wales. She makes functional ware and sculptural objects.
